Facts

Silat is a collection of Martial Arts originating from South East Asia (2 Marks)
It is believed that the word Silat is derived from Sekilat which means “As fast as lighting” (2 Marks)
Our form is based on three animals – The Cat, The Horse and the Garuda (1 Mark)
The Garuda is a Mythical Bird (1 Mark)
Guru Alvin Guinanao created our Silat Form (1 Mark)
We are doing an unarmed form but normally everything is done with a weapon (1 Mark)
