Where: Hills Road Sports and Tennis Centre, Viewing Gallery

Details: The Chief Instructor for Escrima Concepts, Grandmaster Steve Tappin, has been training and teaching martial arts around the world since the 1970's, and uses his wealth of knowledge and experience to make learning armed and unarmed martial arts both understandable and enjoyable. With a big focus on how correct body mechanics and movement can make your life easier when dealing with any attacker, his seminars are essential for anyone wanting to develop their self defence skills. Accompanying him will be Wayne Tappin who is a 4th Technician, also an excellent teacher, and is a perfect example of how you don't need size and physical strength to be able to defend yourself if you train enough.

This seminar will focus specifically on the unarmed side of the system, looking at the options you have against different unarmed attacks. Escrima Concepts is not a 'stick' system, although initially it is our primary training tool, and this seminar aims to help you understand the transition between the weapons and how the body mechanics develop your unarmed skills.

The seminar is open to all students of all abilities and styles, this is your chance to learn from one of the top armed and unarmed instructors around.

Cost: £30 CKF and EC members, £35 for non-members. £5 off if you are also doing the grading session in the morning.
