What: Forms Workshop
When: Saturday 12th October 2019, 2pm - 5pm
Where: Cambridge Kung Fu HQ
Focus: Biu Jee - Open to all levels of student (not just students learning Biu Jee)
Details: In the first half of the workshop we will focus on the conceptual practise of the form. This means we will be focusing on how to practise the movements & ideas from the form rather than learning the specific sequence of the form. This will alternate with each workshop. You do not need to be learning the form to get a lot out of this part of the workshop as starting to learn what the ideas for Cham Kiu, Biu jee, Wooden Dummy etc whilst you are still learning Siu Nim Tau can be very helpful as it can help provide a ‘big picture’ framework for the Wing Chun system rather than a traditional linear progression.
The second half of the workshop will be focused on the form that each student is currently working on. Getting confident with the sequence and deepening the understanding of the movements from a geometric and application perspective.
We will also be integrating Wooden Dummy practise for students who have their own Wooden Dummy. The aim will be for you to understand how to practise your current form on the Dummy.
Open to members only, maximum of 15 places.
