Session 2: 2.30pm - 5.30pm - Looking at Chin Na (Locking)
Sifu Benno Westra is one of the foremost Wing Chun Masters in Europe, and Grandmaster Wan Kam Leung's top representative for the UK and the Netherlands. His understanding of Wing Chun as a martial art and fighting system has been developed over the years by studying many different styles of Wing Chun as well as training and competing around the world in other arts including Tai Kwon Do, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kyokushin Karate and Escrima Concepts. As well as a superb example of how Wing Chun can be used, Sifu Benno is also a fantastic teacher who is able to tailor his sessions to be beneficial for students of all levels including complete beginners.
Chin Na is the set of joint lock techniques used in Chinese martial arts to control or lock an opponent's joints or muscles/tendons so he cannot move, thus neutralizing the opponent's fighting ability to create striking or breaking opportunities.
Both sessions will be open to all adult students, as well as YKF students SG4+. You do not need to have any knowledge or experience of the forms to attend the seminars, as they will be accessible to all levels.
