Kids Ceremonies - March 2016

On Wednesday 16th and Saturday 19th March we held our Ceremonies which marked the end of our first term of 2016.

This was the first term where we held two Ceremonies each for our Micro Monkeys, Tiny Tigers, Little Dragons and Junior Warriors and it seemed to be a successful addition with lots of students attending their respective Ceremonies!

During the term the Tiny Tigers had been learning the Scorpion vs Spider form, the Little Dragons had been learning a form based on Qigong and the Junior Warriors had been learning a form based on Silat. Some of our Snow Leopards had also been studying a variety of these forms whilst others had been learning elements from our Youth Kung Fu syllabus.

As well as demonstrating the forms/syllabus they had been learning during the term, the students also showed off a variety of their Kung Fu skills during a big game at each of the Ceremonies and, most excitingly, they were presented with their Certificates and Badges to mark their achievements throughout the term.

Attendees of the Wednesday Junior Warriors Ceremony were especially lucky to be treated to a demo by Guru Alvin Guinanao, who created the Silat Form they had been studying.

Also, in our Tigers, Dragons and Warriors Ceremonies we presented the Student of the Season Award. Only one child from each age group is presented with the Student of the Season Award each term so it is very special. The award goes to the student who we feel has best demonstrated the Cambridge Kung Fu core values of Awareness, Focus, Resilience and Integration.

The winners of the Spring Student of the Season award for 2016 were as follows;

Tiny Tiger SOTS = Ethan (Saturday 10am Tiny Tiger)
Little Dragon SOTS = Sophia (Saturday 11am Little Dragon)
Junior Warrior SOTS = Carla (Saturday 2.30pm Junior Warrior)
